What do you get when you mix a novice wizard, a reckless warrior, a sharp-tongued thief, & a saintly cleric? Swords, sorcery, & sarcasm.

Glolindir thought he knew all about magic until he came face to face with his very first monster. He only survived thanks to his new friends: a gallant warrior as talented as he is reckless, a mysterious halfling whose knives are nearly as sharp as his tongue, and a saintly gnome whose very touch can heal.

Unfortunately, that was just the beginning of their troubles. Strange things have been happening around the little town of Ravenford. Before they know it, they are up to their necks in monsters and worse.

From eerie ruins to underground caves to a ghostly forest devoid of life, they encounter the forces of darkness. Can they overcome their faults and work together to save the town, or will they die trying?

Enter a world of magic and adventure in this fun tale of heroes in the making. Perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons.

“The characters are exceptionally well developed and the battle scenes are entertaining and polished. What I loved most is that this is a series I can read with my young niece, who loves tales in the spirit of Dungeons and Dragons and The Lord of the Rings.” – Readers’ Favorite Book Review ★★★★★

“Like Lord of the Rings, there’s plenty of action scenes and humorous dialogue. If you love classic fantasy with a great cast of characters, you’ve got to read this book.”- N. N.Light’s Book Heaven ★★★★★

“Sword and Sorcery doesn’t get any better than this.” – Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★

“A spellbinding story and truly a joy to read.” – Goodreads Reviewer ★★★★★

USA TODAY Bestseller

The Complete Navigator series
This omnibus edition of the Navigator series contains all four books: Enemy Lines, Blind Sighted, Killer Edge and Broken Arrow.

With hydraulics, armor and advanced vision, Navigators are soldiers of the future, and in the game of survival of the fittest, they become the only hope man has to fight for their right to dominate.

Enemy Lines
After nearly being executed in a war zone, Staff Sergeant Leon Shield finds himself urgently recalled from deployment, and lands back home to a defeated country. In a matter of days, and without a single shot being fired, a new species has taken over the world. Determined to survive Armageddon, the only chance to fight back is to find a man called Ark, and use an untested technology to become Navigators.

Blind Sighted
Leon and Ark elect to train their new Navigator squad outside the wire, while Bill works with the weapons engineers to solve the bigger problems. The medical team are taking the critters apart, desperately looking for anything that will give them an edge.

Killer Edge
Our team match the enemy by creating a little critter magic of their own. New forces join them, and survivors add their weight to the fight, further changing what becomes possible. First contact is made, and believing they are running headlong into failure, Ark learns to take the lesser loss.

Broken Arrow
The aliens take a step too far and Ark decides it’s time to go all in. Sending all of their Navigator battle teams to the nests, they uncover unexpected allies in a final showdown that will determine which side will rule earth.

The Navigator series is a fast paced, action-based story following the people who will need to become a tight knit team if they’re to defeat an enemy capable of taking over the world.

Eight books and over 1400+ pages of magic and mayhem, action and humor fill this snarky urban fantasy boxed set.

Mythical creatures are real and the world is only now finding out.

All Frances wants is a simple, safe life.

Kidnapping the Phoenix was probably a bad move.

My name is Frances Church. Not the name you’d expect from someone on the run from the paranormal mob.

You know, ogres with machine guns, kind of mob.

But when the unborn ashes of the Phoenix ask for help, well, what’s a girl gonna do? I stole her urn from the mob and went on the run.

Now I’m hiding in small town Indiana, where I work as a medic for fantasical beasts. I should be safe here, right?

But the mob aren’t the only ones looking for the Phoenix.

An ancient evil is searching for her in hopes to usher in Armageddon.

Now I have a choice to make: abandon the Phoenix and run, or stop these supernatural bullies and beasts from harnessing the Phoenix’s magic for evil.

Like I said, what’s a girl gonna do?

Meet Frances, the latest hero in the GoneGod World. Frances a paranormal medic, treating the mythical creatures who now walk among us. If you love Mercy Thompson, Buffy or Katrina Darling, then you’ll absolutely love this unexpected heroine.

… what he gets is unparalleled mayhem as cases with far more teeth and claw than he expected start lining up at his door.

Having invited chaos into his life, it’s not long before he needs to call in help, but are his mates from the pub, an ex-army buddy, his dogs, and his mum (why are there no grandchildren, Tempest?) really the back-up he needs? They’d better be because there appears to be a master vampire in town and the bodies are starting to stack up.

Book Review: Churchill’s Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare by Giles Milton

December 22, 2021 by Carolynn

Book Review: Churchill's Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare by Giles Milton

I don’t know what I expected when I picked up Churchill’s Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. I know I didn’t expect how laugh out loud funny it would be. I definitely didn’t expect it to be as thought provoking as it was, and how it made me question what I know about the U.S.’s military presence in the world, or how I could come to see gorilla warfare as more humane.

The thing about Churchill’s Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was that in the end, it was far more gentler than the “gentlemanly” kind. Compared to aerial bombing the acts of sabotage in this book killed fewer civilians–even when there were Nazi reprisals–and destroyed less infrastructure, meaning the civilians who survived had better lives.

But if you’re not looking for philosophy, this book is for you, too! Every single chapter of this book could be made into a feature length film–and some have! Still many have not. I’d like to know more about the man who was clever enough to think “Hmmm…instead of bombing the German tanks I’ll switch out the engine oil of the tank transports” and hear about how all the saboteurs did it. This little maneuver was hugely responsible for the allies success at Normandy.

As mentioned, this book is laugh out loud funny, it’s got tons of action, and you’ll learn about covert antics you may have missed, and about the men and women who pulled them off.

This book is traditionally published, and it’s expensive new. However, at least in the US the second hand paperback version is reasonably priced on Amazon. Also, it’s available at the moment from Scribd in Audiobook and eBook.

Available in eBook format at Amazon US, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia

and Apple, Nook, Kobo, GooglePlay

Remember, it’s traditionally published–so look for it in your public library!
